Dear
brothers and sisters,

In this missionary letter we want to inform you about the
recent events happened in Albania. The most encouraging
one is that of the inauguration of a meeting room in Pogradec.
Our president, Elia Landi, together with the secretary of
the national center, Giuditta Angeletti, decided to come
and visit us on the first weekend of December. Knowing that,
we hurried up to conclude the last works in this room, so
that we could have the inauguration with their presence
and encouragement. Actually with the walls still humid and
the last small things done by the president himself, on
Sunday December 2, every thing was ready to welcome about
thirty people. But they were in fact more that sixty brothers
and sisters, missionaries and brothers and sisters of the
Apostolic church, who came on the occasion from the villages,
and we celebrated together. We praised and worshiped the
Lord for this new open door in one spirit of unity, joy
and victory and in a wonderful presence of God, even though
almost half of these people could not find a place to sit
on. There were several words of encouragement, from the
missionaries and from Elia Landi in his preaching.
Another
very beautiful news is that there is already a nice group
of children, evangelised from the bible school (Christ for
the Nations), that would be glad to have meetings where
they can get to know Jesus better. So, we are about to start
a work with them in this new meeting room.
Of course,
our first thanks go to the Lord that can do every thing,
but we want also to thank Nehemia Foundation who financed
our expenses of construction and accessories with a contribution
of 2000 DM; also the bible school and the believers in our
church, especially Ardi for their practical work.
Our
prayer is that this room can become small very soon and
we would like you also to be part of this new challenge.
The meetings in Cerrava are going very well, as matter of
fact since we have rented a small flat, there are many young
people, but mostly children that are coming to hear the
word of God. But the problem that we have found again in
this reality is that the families live in poverty. We would
like to help them so much and I believe that even you readers
would also. There are many hearts ready to give in all parts
of Europe, but this cannot come through, because there are
no volunteers to bring these aids to Albania. This is an
appeal in all the churches, so that once or twice a year
we could receive these materials. Of course, there are official
practices to be followed for the customs houses, but we
will give you all the information and the support on that.
Now, we are concluding wishing you a serene Christmas time
together with your families and brothers and sisters and
a New Year full of joy and abundant blessings.
Lord bless you
Sandro, Luciana, Carlo and Ester
